How to tell if you have a ‘good’ Trainer?
These days it seems that there is a gym on every corner. Many promise cheap personal training sessions along with smiling pictures of young good looking models with white teeth and lean bodies.
But how can you have confidence that these strangers not only have your best interests at heart, but also have the skills to help you achieve your goals SAFELY?
Always meet with the trainer first. Ask them about their skills, qualifications and interests. Every trainer will have a different training style as well, so make sure you are clear about how you want to be trained. A good trainer will adapt to suit your needs and use appropriate motivational techniques. Make sure they set realistic goals with you, and explain their ideas for your training/programming to help you achieve these goals.
Remember, they will get you talking about yourself, but you can ask questions too!
Once you are confident that you can get along together while you’re sweating it out, make sure you commit to your program or sessions 100%.

Trust your instincts and listen to your answers.
You have a relationship with your trainer. You are trusting them with your goals, dreams, and body. Make sure they appreciate that bond of trust and treat you with respect.
