Congrats new mums on your beautiful new life! You have probably had over 6 weeks of you and baby time and now its time to get back into your daily routine. Back to work and your health! But, you ARE NOT the same woman you were when before you had the baby. Your body has completely changed, in the most amazing way of course, so you might ask yourself, where do I begin? What exercises should I jump back into and which ones should avoid for now? It can all be so overwhelming and confusing. People have mixed opinions about this topic. Some believe you should jump straight into while others believe that gentle exercise is the way to go. Everybody is different and unique. If you donโt know where to start, choose one of these exercises. These are low-risk and safe.
The exercises that are safe after pregnancy include: walking swimming and aqua aerobics yoga Pilates low-impact aerobics lightweight training cycling But , please , please ladies be gentle with yourself. There is no hurry to โbounce backโ. Your body will tell you when it is ready and of course, get professional confirmation as well. At the early stages, just focus on getting that body moving! Remember producing a baby is a gift.
