how the VFIT Holistic story began

A brief history

Former factory shift worker and now Owner and Director of VFIT Holistic, Vu Nguyen took his first steps into the fitness industry in 2007. Vu constantly felt tired and sore from the relentless labour he had to endure and found little release in ‘resting’. This continued even after leaving his former workplace to undertake further education. Knowing all too well what it is like to adapt to unhealthy habits for convenience and comfort due to lack of time and energy, Vu enrolled to become a Personal Trainer, looking for a change of lifestyle. Vu soon gained a better understanding of overall health and fitness, but learned the importance of a holistic approach to health and well being.

Building Trust

The VFIT difference is our holistic approach to health. We take into consideration all aspects – not just the physical and metabolic, but the social, spiritual and mental factors as well. We believe in primary functional movement patterns to assist you in going about your daily activities. We help you to understand your own body to get the best results – because no two people are the same. We believe physical activity should not be about guilt or force, but rather the value, experience and enjoyment of being active. We offer a range of services to suit you so that we can help you as best we can. Starting with personal training, group fitness classes, massage therapy and we even have a qualified hypnotherapist on site. We believe that you should be able to feel great and have the confidence of feeling your best, period.

Forging Ahead

The fitness and well being industry is vastly developing into one that can be unnecessarily complicated where advice is given to all corners and from every direction. Our purpose is to reach far and wide to the community and community members in developing a paradigm of what sustainable healthy living is. We are not here to tell what is wrong or what is right, however it is about providing you with the tools to be reflective, critical and active learners in your own journey towards what it means to be healthy.  You are your own role model, to take control and be proud of who you are and what you can be.

 Oxford Dictionary’s definition of ‘Holistic’:
Characterised by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of disease.

 

The classes and training are all fabulous and they always accommodate if you have injuries or restrictions with your training. I have trained with all the trainers here and they are all so passionate at what they do.
